Sophiane Faret Hammam —
Where the wind doesn’t blow, nothing in the ground can ever grow.

"In the new structure where I am, the god is no longer the same, and the problem is that the next one hasn't yet defined its mode of prayer, its ritual.

An evanescent god of the future that has not yet defined its ritualization. And when you don't have that, you return to the old god who is dead. You find yourself in this space of default irreligion, because the new god hasn't told you how to wait for it, and the old god is dead but it calls to you. It calls to you from the corpses, in the necrological world, where nothing will ever happen again.

Gods must die to release the prayers left unanswered."
